A Freedom of Information request from Hogan Lovells International LLP dated 7 February 2018 referring to the whistle-blower letter, and requesting among other things, details of the steps the SFO took to investigate the allegations raised in the letter. Request document here
3 - SFO response to FOI request I
A response to that FOI request from the SFO addressed to Hogan Lovells International LLP dated 27 March 2018. Among other things, the letter states that “no written record of the investigation or its findings” were kept, and there is "no record of what policy or procedure was followed in conducting the investigation (if any)". It appears that the SFO did not follow its own complaints procedure, which, at the time, specified that, if a complaint was of a "more serious nature (for example if criminality is alleged) the Director will appoint an independent reviewer (external to the SFO)". 4 - SFO response to FOI request II
A response to that FOI request from the SFO addressed to Hogan Lovells International LLP dated 19 April 2018. Among other things, the letter responds to further questions on the internal investigation confirming that former Director David Green instructed the investigation and that the then Attorney General, Dominic Grieve was made aware of the outcome of the internal investigation.Request document here
